Mom passed away in the early hours of this morning. Dave is leaving for Penticton in a couple of hours. I was hoping that he might be able to see her before she died, although she was in a coma. But that was not to be. Mom was the best mother-in-law in the world and I am so lucky to have had her in my life. When Dave took me out to Penticton in October of 1988 to meet his family--we weren't engaged yet--she said to Dave's Dad, "Meet you future daughter-in-law!" I guess she knew and must have approved! And now her and Dad are together again. I love you so Mom and I will miss you forever.
Thank you Jolene, Diana, and Jacqueline for your prayers and thoughts. Having such wonderful, caring friends means so much. I love you all.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Having lost both parents, I know how you feel. At least Duffy got to meet her. I know both my parents liked Essex & Deacon.
May God look over your family and give you strength.
Essex, Sherman & Dog Dad
Thank you so much Dog Dad, Essex, and Sherman for your caring thoughts and words of comfort. I am happy that Duffy and Mom did get to meet and it was obvious that they liked each other. It is very sad when our parents leave this earth, it leaves a big hole in our hearts.
thinking of you both, condolences as well, what a great thing for her to have loved you so & you her in return:)
xoxo
I'm so sorry Dianne. She sounds like she was a wonderful lady, a genuinely good person, and full of life right up until the end.
Please pass our condolences on to Dave as well. ((HUGS)) to all of you.
Prayers of strength coming your way my friend...
I am so sorry Dianne. It sounds like she lived an incredible life and was very loved by so many people. To have that kind of love for her is so beautiful. I am glad I was able to "meet" her on your blog before she passed. My heart goes to you and Dave and the family.
Thank you everyone for your love and support, it means so much to us. ♥
